IBC partners with indies to boost inclusive book sales via IBC Bookshelf
Exciting news! IBC Bookshelf is here, and we’re calling on all indie booksellers to join in with this important drive to promote inclusive children’s books.
We’re offering free ‘IBC Top Picks’ quarterly booklists to UK independent bookshops, highlighting the very latest, best-in-class inclusive children’s books for booksellers to display in-store.
Booksellers will also receive colourful bespoke POS materials, including shelf wobblers, posters and bookmarks, to help them promote the campaign.
Nine independent booksellers have signed up to the initiative so far:
- Booka Bookshop, Oswestry
- Chepstow Books & Gifts, Chepstow, Wales
- Chicken and Frog, Brentwood, Essex
- Kibworth Books, Kibworth Beauchamp, Leics
- Mr B’s Emporium, Bath
- Norfolk Children’s Books Centre, Norwich, Norfolk
- Owl and Pyramid, Devon
- Red Lion Books, Essex
- The Children’s Bookshop, Muswell Hill, London
- The Rabbit Hole, Brigg, North Lincs
- Truman Bookshop, Yorkshire
If you’re local or in the area, visit these brilliant bookstores to check out our IBC Bookshelf. You’ll find a fantastic selection of highly rated inclusive titles for children, all handpicked by our expert review team.
Not only will you be giving these wonderfully diverse books and their creators much-deserved attention, but you’ll be supporting the indie booksellers too!
We will update this blog post with the names and locations of new bookshops as and when they come on board, so do check back regularly for updates.
